تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى نشر ودراسة تمثال للكاتب Krnn و زوجتة من الحشب ، الدولة القديمة، الأسرة السادسة، لإحدى هيئات وأوضاع الكاتب الجالس ،الذى عثر عليهم بسقارة بمعرفت J.Quibell ،عام 1907م ولم يسبق لها النشر أو الدراسة من قبل، ويهدف هذا البحث لعمل دراسة وصفية لذلك التماثيل ، ودراسة تحليلية للسمات الفنية، وأهمية الكتبة في مصر القديمة، وأهم الأخشاب المستخدمة فى نحت التماثيل الخشبية، وتقنيات صناعتها ومعالجة سطح التماثيل،

Abstract:
This study aims to publish and analyze a previously unpublished wooden statue representing a seated scribe krnn and his wife, dating back to the Old Kingdom, Sixth Dynasty. The statue, which exemplifies one of the characteristic postures of seated scribes, was discovered in Saqqara by J. Quibell in 1907. Despite its archaeological and artistic value, it has not undergone prior academic publication or study.The research presents a descriptive analysis of the statue, focusing on its artistic features, the symbolic and societal significance of scribes in ancient Egypt, the types of wood commonly used in wooden sculpture, and the techniques applied in the crafting and surface treatment of such statues.
